I Scream, You scream,We all scream for ice-cream. We really enjoyed creating our own ice-cream cones and then we all enjoyed a trip to Kenneth's for the real thing!!!!

We had so much fun making our fabric Robots, we each chose the buttons and fabric we liked the best.
We loved the tactile feel of our robot sensory bags, moving the shapes around to make different combinations.
Robots, Robots, Everywhere!!! Technology Theme here and there!!! We really enjoyed building our robots.

We made the hungry Caterpillar with strawberries, kiwi's and orange and then WE ATE HIM!!!!
All the Junior classes joined together for a picnic. We had some fun in the sun, food and good company. An enjoyable afternoon was had by all.
April
We made the most of the beautiful weather this month. We walked to the Lookout and had our lessons in the sunshine. We sang "Row, Row your boat" and pretended we were sailors on the high seas
Our themes for April were Springtime and The Farm. We made our own flowers and planted them in our garden. We then took turns to pick the colourful flowers.
We became florists in class this month. We put flowers together in a colander to make pretty bouquets.
We did an experiment with some white flowers in the class. We put white flowers in cups, added food colouring to the water and put them on the shelf over the weekend. On Monday our flowers had changed colour!
We made our own beautiful tall flowers for our classroom. We measured how tall each of us are and made our flowers the same height as us!
For our Springtime theme we made frogs for our colourful display
We had a few farmyard visitors to our class. We met a lovely horse, we got to milk a cow and became friends with a pig. We had great fun learning about the farm.
March
The "Beast from the East" brought snow to our school! Ms. Dunford brought in some snow for our sensory play which was great fun!
We had a wonderful morning meeting the Easter Bunny and finding chocolate eggs with our friends.
February
Our theme for this month was Friendship/Valentines Day and health. With this in mind we got together with our friends and produced this beautiful quilt.
We joined with all our friends in the junior classes to have a teddy bears picnic. A wonderful time was had by all.
We really enjoyed doing our Valentines activities and fine motor skills.

Our second theme of the month was Health. Our dramatic play was "going to the Doctor". We took turns being the doctor and the patient which was great fun.
Within our health theme we learnt about being healthy and looking after ourselves.

Happy New Year 2018 from all in Primary 1b!
Our themes for January were Winter and Space. We had lots of fun making Winter crafts.
We learned about hot and cold with warm and cold coloured liquids.

We also made colourful planets for our Space theme. We had lots of fun rolling a ball in paint to make our planets and using orange paint in a plastic pouch to make our suns!

December
December was a very busy month in Primary 1b as you can see! These are some of the Christmas art we made in class.
We all had a wonderful trip to see Santa in Faithlegg. We danced all day!
We enjoyed having Christmas dinner with all our friends in school. Thank you to our cook Maria and her team for making such a lovely feast!
We really enjoyed our visit from Santa at school and the lovely party for Christmas. Santa gave us some lovely presents to take home.
We had our Christmas concert in school which was enjoyed by everyone.
Happy Birthday to Callum who celebrated his birthday this month.

For the first two weeks of November our class was turned into a Kidstruction Zone for our House Theme.
Our first job was to build a wooden framed house. Building this house was so much fun, we did not stop till the job was done.
I'm a little Teapot was the poem we learnt. We loved doing the actions and saying the rhyme. We really enjoyed the cup of tea after all our hard work.
We were as happy as pigs in mud playing with pigs in chocolate mud!

The Tricks and Treats we've had this month in Primary 1b! We have really enjoyed our themes this month, Autumn and Halloween.
In our circle time we learnt all about the leaves changing colours and falling down. We loved raking them up and making a pile and jumping in.

We loved engaging in our outdoor activities of Bark rubbings and collecting leaves. We were having so much fun Ms. Price even joined in our fun!
To enhance our learning of the season we listened to the story of "The Little Red Hen". We even made some bread! Yum Yum!
Dingle Dangle Scarecrow was a particular favourite song of ours. He even popped in to help us sing our song.

Welcome back to Primary 1b. We are delighted to be back after the holidays and are looking forward to a year of fun and learning.
Our second theme of the month was "school". We read the book "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom" which is about the alphabet. We all thoroughly enjoyed the story and the song accompanying it.
We began with the theme "Myself". We learnt about our body parts through Rhymes and Action songs.
