3/19/2016 0 Comments March mayhem............Although March was a short month here in school, Primary 2 were sure to pack in as much fun and learning as possible before we headed off on our holidays! We were busy with our St. Patrick's Day theme - we had great fun dressing up as leprechauns, singing and acting out our theme song 'Little Leprechaun'. We made some lovely themed art work - pots of gold and leprechaun paper plate crafts. We also did some themed worksheets which included matching leprechauns, following patterns, counting and colouring shamrocks. ![]() We had an Irish themed day in school which involved Irish dancing with Helen and Paddy - we had so much fun! Our chef Maria cooked traditional bacon and cabbage for lunch, it was delicious. Take a look at us on the dance floor...... We had a very special birthday to celebrate also. This meant balloons, banners, cake, presents........ major celebrations!!!! Great fun! We had a very important visitor who brought great excitement....... Yes....... you guessed right.......The Easter Bunny!!!! We had an amazing fun packed egg hunt We had our very own Easter basket to collect them in..... Our great friend the Easter Bunny even stepped into a photo with us...... As part of our school self evaluation for maths here in St. John's we are focusing on money as our target. We have a school savings scheme set up and here in Primary 2 we have been busy saving our money for months. We decided we would take out some of our money and take a trip to town....... We bought Easter eggs. We bought one egg each for ourselves and two as presents for our families. March may have been a short month but we sure were busy!! Happy holidays and we'll be back again very soon.
