June was a very busy month for us in school. We were out and about as much as possible and we were so lucky with the fine weather. Check out the Gallery for photos of the school BBQ.
We were lucky enough to enjoy a few days out because of the great weather we have had! Take a look at what we got up to in class and outside of class.
We have been very busy in school! We have an art teacher doing lovely work with us every Thursday morning along with our Zumba classes on a Tuesday! We touched on the themes of Spring and The Zoo. We made wraps and explored different fruit and vegetables. We were delighted to see that the ice-cream van arrived on the yard one lovely sunny day!
Here you'll see a snapshot of what we got upto when we returned to school! We did some theme work on Ireland for St. Patrick's Day, Our Body/Health and Easter. We had a very special birthday in March and of course had to celebrate by having a birthday cake! We really enjoyed our Zumba classes which took place out on the yard and on the day of the holidays we tucked into some lovely Easter eggs!
Christmas was well and truly celebrated in Room 9 this month! We had plenty of activities to get us into the spirit of it! Here's what we got up to.
November was a great month for Room 9. Besides being busy in school, we went to the cinema, for a walk on the Greenway and plenty more. We also had a special birthday to celebrate. Take a look at what we got up to!
This month flew by! Our themes were Autumn and Halloween.

We did lots of Halloween activities.
Room 9 were happy to be back in school and we are all still settling in!
One of the first activities we did was sequencing the steps of hand washing! We are all very good at this!

Our themes for the month were Family and School. We also looked at "Myself".

For our school theme we looked at photos of school, staff and did some matching.
Here we are making structures and relaxing with sensory bags.
We began a typing programme which we will do once a week.
We enjoyed a lovely day out at the beach and had a picnic in the park.
We got busy in the cookery room. Some of us look, smell, feel and taste different food while the rest of us follow very simple recipes to make simple meals.
As part of life skills we looked at clothes and hung them out on the washing line.
